There is always a little flakiness behind the mask…

When I read, I usually stick to V.C. Andrews, Dean Koontz, or Stephen King, although I’ll read just about anything. Those three authors seem to have a unique writing style that really appeals to my liking, and I love their context and word formatting. They also give enough detailing that you can visualize what you are reading, without giving too much detail.

I remember growing up; I was obsessed with Dr. Seuss, the Raggedy Ann books, and the story, “The Rough Faced Girl”. Every weekend I would go get them from the library and read them over and over again till I fell asleep. Now that my siblings are older, I read them those stories and pass down great memories.

Lately though, I’ve been too wrapped up in life itself to do any reading or anything. I just got this job working at the Waffle House, and I go in for training in a few hours. I also have an online job thing that publishes my work. Two jobs, college, high school, and people gripe at me for not being around enough. Well I wonder why? I mean, it’s already going on three o’clock in the morning, and I don’t think I even ate today.

To be honest, I never wanted to be a writer growing up as a kid. I was the little girl that would dress up and play “school” with my little sister. That was my goal until sixth grade, when I finally decided it would be awesome to write instead. That year I scored a seven point zero, plus on my Ohio State Proficiency Test, which is the highest you can get. Ever since that year, writing has become a major goal in my life. I’m not really sure what exactly my specific goals within writing are yet, but I do know that I am finally accomplishing something that I want more than anything, and that is to just simply write.

Besides writing, really the only other goal I have set is to travel someday. Get out and see the world while I’m young at heart. Take photos and send them to everyone I know…the works. It’s something that my mom has always wanted to do but can’t, so I’m going to do it for her, so she can still see what’s out there. Hopefully I can attain this goal within the next three years, but who knows? I’ll just have to wait and see where fate leads me.
