A short story that a young author wrote about an adventure in outer space. Please read and enjoy:)
Throughout the years, I have had many dreams of going into outer space and exploring the rest of the solar system. That dream wasn’t possible until now. Why? It’s because someone would need a whole lot of money to go into space all on their own. But for some reason, a strange person from somewhere around the world picked me to fly to space with him, and now his spaceship was sitting in my backyard, waiting for me to be loaded onto it.
I didn’t hesitate for long before I took off running towards the ship, eager to discover what amazing adventures lie ahead of me.
I got into the ship and immediately noticed how much bigger it looked on the inside than on the outside. The room was at least half the length of a football field, yet, from outside, it looked like it was only 35 feet wide!
The pilot didn’t waste any time, for I felt the ship shudder beneath my feet and I heard the powerful engines begin to fire up. I ran to a seat and buckled up as fast as I could, because I didn’t think that it would be good to be standing when this thing was taking off. I heard a loud roar and looked out the window to discover that we were already climbing at a steady pace. I thought that it couldn’t get any smoother than this. I was right.
All of a sudden the engines began making almost twice as much noise as they were before. Next thing I knew, the ship was accelerating away from the Earth at a ninety degree angle and I felt like I had blood shooting out of my ears. After a few minutes, I found that the pain had faded away, and I was now experiencing the zero-gravity environment of outer space. The ship headed off to Mars, then Jupiter, Then Saturn. I didn’t care if we were ever going back.
