A biography of the lead vocalist of Three Days Grace, Adam Gontier.
Adam Gontier, born May 21, 1978 will be a famous person. Primarily his mother influenced Gontier to music. His mother was a musician so that’s why he became interested in the music world. His interest in the guitar came from his cousin, since his cousin plays the guitar. He wrote his own songs as his mother showed him how to.
Gontier is a current member of the very popular band Three Days Grace as a singer. Three Days Grace first met together when they were teens and played music then. There were four members other than Gontier. At that time they were known as Groundswell but then two members left and so they changed their band name to Three Days Grace at 1997. Instead of hiring people who write music, Gontier wrote their music. In 2003 they made their self titled album, Three Days Grace. They became extremely popular with two sensational hits, (I Hate) Everything All About You and Just Like You. Not only was Adam’s singing awesome, but his song making skills were as great too!
After that album, Gontier entered a period of drug abuse. He went to terrible U.S cities just to get drugs. Gontier went to the Toronto’s Centre For Addiction And Mental Health for help, and he called it “the ten worst days of his life.” After fixing the addiction problem, he made One-X.
The songs were about his drug abuse mostly, and it expresses a feeling to the listeners. With hits “Pain”, “Animal I Have Become” and “Never too late”, he explained to listeners in an interview what it was made from, which was his drug abuse. In 2009 Three Days Grace will make their new album, The Demon Within sources say, and many anticipate what might be in there. Only time will tell. Gontier’s poetry making, which is music making, might be even better.
