I have lived on and off there ever since I was born in 1987. There is a dirt road behind our house which I have previously written about. Everything around this little town is a part of my life. Just today, I met a woman in New York who is a crossing guard, We had stopped to ask her how to get to the Statue of Liberty. She told us how to get there, but then there was a pause, she didn’t know if there were parking spaces there or not. She admitted that she had been taking advantage of the fact that it was there. I guess when you hear someone say that about themselves it makes you think. There are a lot of things in this life we take advantage of. Everyday things at that. We take advantage that the money is going to be there., the car, or even the home appliances.

Have you ever heard the saying “Don’t assume anything or you will make an ass out of you and me.”? Well we are constantly assuming thing are going to be there, we are not only making ourselves look like asses but everyone else that is around us. So when you wake up in the morning, try and take at least two minutes to think about that things that are good in your life. The things that you would miss if you were gone. Things that you have been taking advantage of.
