This past two week have  been rough. First my grandfather diesthe day after Fathers day. Then Micheal, then the lady from Charlie angels then the man from the oxy commerical and then man from wrestling. Now I must sit and ask myself I am ready? A lot of people don’t want to think about the fact that one day this will be over. But we have to. Are you ready? Have you done everything in life that life had to offer you? Did you go every where you wanted and seen everything you could? How long should we wait to start  preparing? When the doctor says you have cancer. No I think people should live everyday to the fullest because one day and you don’t know when it will all end.

My grandfather was always a humble man. About two years ago a doctor told him he had cancer in the mouth and tongue. They told him he to stop smoking and drinking and they would perform this surgery on him. The night he came home from that appointment the family asked him what they say. he said some b.s. he wasn’t listening. My aunts went back to doctors and asked what had they said. They told them they wanted to cut his tongue off and put it back together with his butt. I couldn’t believe it when they finally convinced my grandfather to it. He had it done about a year ago at the age of 74. He was unhappy from that moment forward. I understand that they wanted to preserve life for as long as possible but at what cost. He had to take chemo, they took his teeth, and he just got weaker and weaker. He bounced from hospital to facility and back. Finally he came to hospice where he died two weeks later. Had he not gotten the surgery he still would have died but he might have been happier. He was still in pain and still died so what did we get out it?

Wacthing him go I realized i don’t want to go like that. I want go happy and if that means having a drink and smoking my cigs then so be it. I want to tell everyone who reads this JUST BE HAPPY. Cause when its over its no doing it again.
