Newark New Jersey is where i was born August 15, 1997 to Merlene and Daryl I was a  9 years old with   grown up problems. My mother had 3 sisters and 2 brothers and what 1 did the other sisters joined in. My mother and her two sister partied together, drinked together and the very thing that became our family Demon was Named Cocaine, not sure who started first but all I know their where times when I would walk in and my mom lip was curled this indecaded to me that she wasn’t just drunk but she was high. I remember one time I walked in the kitchen after smelling a weird stinch in the air my mother was in the Kitchen with her friends and they were doing a line. Of cocaine and I guess I startled my mom and she dropped the cocain in the cracks of our splintered floor. I was thinking thats going to be hard to get up, but she tried as she yelled at me. This is when the anger started.

One day she woke up in the morning as I tended to my sister which was 1 and still in the crib cring because she could’nt figure out how to sit down when she was standing and she could’t figure out how to stand when she was sitting. I thought it was funny as i laughed at my sister my mom walked pass me and stumbbled into the bathroom when she came out of the bathroom she walked pass me half way and fell, pushed my sister crib and was layed out on the splintered floor just the day before she was trying to sift the white powder from the wood splinter, today she’s closer to the splinters than ever. I screamed and ran to get my grandmother. The ambulance came I later found out that my mother had died of an overdose and was revived. Fast Forward

Las Vegas, NV 1989

My mom still high on drugs not sure on what but she became worst. at the age of 13 my mom,  grandma and myself stepped off the bus and my mother got a phone call from New Jersey my father 6′4 in stature was a muslim he couldn’t see his children  and decided what was the point in liveing he walked into the basement of his house and hung himself their was always contraversy behind it because the basement was shorter than his height thats where his resting place was. I becaming Increasingly angry because my mother didn’t give me the oppurtunity to know my father. At 16 I had to get a job because my mom was so strung out on drugs that me and my sister didnt have any school clothes,  I had to be a mother to a 8 year old.

This caused me to become angry and unsure about myself. I started looking for love in all the wrong places the love that I wanted in a father I looked for in men. 3 kids later I became very depressed and in my soul wanted to give up on life. Then one day I started a Job and my trainer that day wasn’t their so I was placed with someone else this women had a presence about her she start to train me and then she asked me If I knew Jesus as my personal Savior and I told her no she told me about Victory OutReach and invited me to church.

That Sunday morning I awoke  struggling on is I wanted to go get my newborn and three kids dressed after the battle of my soul had been won by the lord I left my house and from that day and my life has never been the same that was 7 years ago and I am still gowing strong evryday is a process, but I love the Lord and I am so thankful for him taking me out of those days of depression into everlasting life.
