Do you believe in the paranormal?

Ghosts are identified as a so called disembodied spirit of a deceased person, also referred to today as the apparition the the said spirit.  They are said to be described as partly transparent, mist forms, dark figures, or orb type objects, that seem to haunt a particular area or person that they were associated with during this lifetime or at the time of their death.

When a poll was conducted in the year 2003, it showed that more then half of the adults in the United States believe in ghosts and demons.  This paranormal field has appeared in films, theatres, books, movies, and television shows.  It is said to be a wide belief in some cultures and religions.

It has been noted that in some ancient cultures the soul would sometimes be depicted as a bird or other animal, but it also widely felt that the soul has an exact reproduction of the body it had in every feature, down to the clothes the person wore. This has been shown in works of art when it shows deceased people in the afterlife appearing as they did before death, including their style of dress.

It has been said that a place where ghosts or spirits inhabits in considered haunted, maybe by the former residents of the property. It has also been said that the supernatural activity that may be inside one of these haunted places could be associated with a violent or tragic death in the building.  Some say that the spirits still linger as they have not “crossed over” and are trapped inside the property where their memories and energy are very strong.

It has also been said, that children seem to sense ghosts more easily as their minds are clear and pure and can accept such things, so spirits find it easier to show themselves openly to a child.  I tend to believe this as on two occasions things have happened involving a child, one was my youngest son, and the other my granddaughter.  This is my story of what happened:

The first was when we had moved to Anaheim, California, we had moved into a home we purchased, actually got it before it went on market as our Realtor happen to also be the sellers and showed it to us first.  She said that his wife had past away about year before, and he just wanted to move to another state closer to family.  We loved the home, big enough for all of us, so we bought it.

I don’t believe paranormal. They are only guessing people’s destinies.

Quite scary! I do think there are other elements but I have not seen one (and hope not). Sometimes I do not know if I hear something or see something or just imagination or for real.

Interesting piece. I don’t think age is as much a factor as attitude. It has been about ten years since I saw my first ghost, and I still didn’t believe in them for some time. This year while I saw one in broad daylight, my dog took chase to him (yeah, I’m sure it is a guy). Now I have to rethink my position!
    Thanks,
    Clay

Very well done. Let me say that my grandfather has seen a lot of strange things that has happened to him and he has told us about it. I also believe in ghosts because i have heard facts and real stories from my whole family that have happened or experienced moments where they had contact with them. Well, thanks anyway. Like your article.
    Keep sharing.

I have had an encounter with a Ouija board that I was mucking around with in the company of friends when one of the people across the table from me’s hair caught on fire and we all rushed to put it out and it did but there was no singed hair at all. After we had extinguished the fire the Ouija board pointer flew half way across the room. From then on, I have believed in all aspects of the paranormal. Very interesting article :)
