End Timers

I live in near an end timers cult or religous group and have learned that the very things in which God has promised us in the Bible, the founder Mr. Meade thinks is solely for his followers.    I have had the liberty to meet some of the followers and guess what they are people the same as anyone else.   They do have the belief that the city we are in is the promise land and are taking all precautions to be ready for the coming of the lord.  I understand that they do have armed guards on the grounds and in the community where they are located, but they probably have to becouse of the amount stories that are told about them.  I have heard a lot of stories and I believe that is all they are.  Some people can not understand them so they make up things about them and tell it for truth.  I feel if you are unsure about any group of people because of what you are told than it should be to your interest to go and investigate on your own and form your own opinions.  I would like to also believe that I am in the promised land as I am sure would everyone.  So hey what is wrong with that?
