Was it worth me becoming damaged so your son would be happy?
But that got me remembering, because I have stayed at her house before, gone there for dinner like friends do and she did EVERYTHING and I mean everything, she cooked, cleaned, looked after the pets, did whatever she was told, wouldn’t say a thing out of place to her parents whilst her brother got everything he wanted, did nothing to help around the house, wound his sister up constantly, and was abusive to everyone around him, so why was this girl trying to hard to please her parents? Because she wanted them to love her.
I’m not one for opening my mouth when it’s not my place but my mum is, and I told her all I had found out and she said she knew about it but she didn’t know how bad it actually was, so when my mum next went around there for a cup of tea, the girls mum made a big mistake telling my mum how useless her daughter was, my mum then snapped and said everything you’re probably thinking right now, like how she favours her son, how lucky she is to have a daughter that does everything for her and how way out of line she is.
And the most saddest part of this story? The mother was oblivious to it.. she said that she treats her kids the same..
Now this just saddens me, because parents are mentally damaging their kids without even knowing it!
But what makes me happy? Now my friend works with me, I am her manager, she is the supervisor, but she is doing so well now, and her brother? Well.. he quit school and sits at home on the internet all day taking drugs, and the parents are wondering where they went wrong with their little angel.
She will never properly get over her problems, I still have to take her to work everyday and drive her home, she has felt rejected for the whole 20 years of her life so I’m not expecting an overnight miracle.
These parents are bad examples, their son is a spoilt brat who got what he wanted for so long he’s thrown his whole life down the drain because he knew ’mummy would look after him’ and their daughters now on tablets and has been diagnosed with depression, the way they acted damaged both of their children, I just wish they knew what they’ve done.
Please take a look at your children, and if you get a hint that you’re favouring one over the other PLEASE try to change your actions immediatly! You could damage the both of them, and you’ll only have yourself to blame.
