Just another article on what I have noticed since I recovered from cancer.
And it is everywhere!
As I said before, I had to step away from life for quite a while. When I came back to myself and returned to life, I noticed a lot of things and one of those things was the increase in garbage. I’m not talking about the garbage in your home or your car. I’m talking about the garbage that is in the streets, on the sidewalks, on the freeways and highway and all that. The garbage that nobody give a damn about because they’ve already consumed, eaten, used or taken care of what was in the paper or plastic bottle or wrapper, the paper wrapping or bag or the paper and piece of cotton left over from a cigarette. I see cigarette butts everywhere just because the smoker is too lazy to bend over, after they have smashed it out with their foot, to pick it up and put it in a garbage container somewhere. I’ve seen them pick it up and toss it into the bushes nearby so it’s site unseen. Out of sight, out of mind. But that just adds to the other crap thrown into the bushes or trees, patch of grass or the sidewalk or the street. Why the hell can’t people simple pick up after themselves. That is all it takes to clean up our streets and sidewalks and the bushes and trees. Why do we simply throw away the container that held the food we ate without thinking about what it will do. No one remember their parents telling them to put their garbage in a can? Does anyone remember when they were younger how we all got a lesson on littering? I guess none of us do because even the kids in my neighborhood don’t care. I walk out of my own front door to find candy wrapping, popsicle wrapping and all kinds of other garbage right near my own front door. Didn’t their parents teah them to throw their garbage in a can somewhere? I am tired of seeing so much garbage everywhere I go! I once walked to work and brought a bag with me. I filled that bag up with the garbage I found just on the walk down the hill to my work. I had it filled halfway down the hill, throw it in the garbage can and found another bag. I filled that bag up before I got to work but waited until I got to work to throw it away in a garbage can. Do you throw your garbage away before you find a container for it? I carry mine until I can find a garbage can and then I throw it away. All this human garbage and crap is what is killing our mother earth and she will reject us one day. Pay attention to what you do and DO NOT THROW your cigarette butts out the window of your car, the container your gum was in on the ground, the fast food containers that you ate out of on the ground. Stop Littering Mother Earth!!!
