If you have even seen a HIT AND RUN car accident, you will know that it is something that sticks in your mind, possibly forever.  You may think that you have forgotten about it, or that it was just a dream, but then, one day, something triggers it, a sound, a story, an object, an area, something makes it all come back, and you again see the horrible visions in your eyes once again.  What brought my memories back was a an accident that I heard about on the radio while driving the other day, and they were saying that the accidents were caused by hit and runs, then all of a sudden, it hit me, HIT AND RUN.

A few years back, I worked the graveyard shift, and had to get up at 1 am to head off to work, and I did not mind this too much, as a single parent, it meant I was home with my kids most of the time. I used to tell myself was gonna quite these weird strange hours, as it was really taking a toll on me, and had thought about it once or twice, but now, I look back, and I am thankful somewhat that I did not, for it may of saved a life that one night, in the early dawns of the morning.

I was driving about 1:15am, was just about to approach a lighted intersection, when I thought I had seen a little lady crossing the street on the far side, but was dark, so I was not positive what I seen at first.  All of a sudden, a white car, came screeching around the corner, and seemed was on two wheels at one point, then it seemed that the lady just vanished in front of the car.  The car did not stop, it continued up over the divider, between the two directions of traffic and ran along the divided ,with bottom of the car scraping the cement, and you could see the sparks fly from it.  The driver finally got control just enough to get the car back over the divider to the right side of traffic and was trying to continue to drive up a slight slope to another signal light.  But I believe that some damage had been done to the bottom of the car, and it seemed to stop just before the next signal light.
