This article is about a not so often discussed day in the life of a stay at home mom (by choice) and the other life she’s trying to carve out in the information superhigway.
My day started out just like any other day but this time I woke up with the thought of where to find a topic for an inspiration for one of the hot tags here in Triond. I did find one but as with any soul who finds fulfillment in our writing there are times when we just don’t feel like we can put any meat on the skeleton of that topic we have had the liberty of choosing.
So here I am thinking, “I have nothing to write.” But if I come to think of it this was the very first topic I wrote about in high school that gave me a grade higher than that of our school’s valedictorian. I entirely forgot what I put under that title but probably the no directional train of thought came out in a perfectly palatable essay that I finished a third faster than my English as a Second Language classmates did.
How had you been? Specifically, let’s say, how was your past two days been? I was a little bummed out for those days. Those past 2 days. Triond declined the publication of my article that talks about a certain reality show for models. I was about to email them voicing my defense when the word libelous caught my eye in one of the reasons why they turned it down. Well, it was a little libelous. It is libelous. Anyway, I wouldn’t let the article be wasted so I tried to surf for a decent site of where to put it. I didn’t find one so I put it in one of my blogs. One of my two blogs that each has an entry in it. I don’t know how to even direct surfers to my blogs so I guess it would just be another trash in this information superhighway.
However, I still feel I have to come up with something today. Seeing one’s work in the net published by writing portals is something else. It had been one of the portfolios I present when I apply for online jobs which got me second emails informing me of the rate at which I four times declined already. I hated the online job offers so far because they rate your effort based on the country where you’re from. Proof to that is I came across one job asking me to decrease the paying rate in the email depending on the country I’m going to reply to. It’s a little demeaning because it was mentioned in the voice over demo of that job that $8 per hour would be nothing in America but in _____ country people would go gaga over that. It’s disgusting. Great minds also lurk in those less developed places and the dedication one can give to one’s job is never influenced by the country where one resides in. In due time I hope to find a respectable online job with a repectable rate. This decent type of job which I already found takes bidding online to which I already gained 3 opportunities to but decided to forgo. I have to figure out a lot of terminologies with that process first. Maybe in due time. When time is already on my side.
But in the meantime I still have a toddler that asks for attention every 15 minutes and the usual chores waiting to be done…
