Humble me, oh Lord, I pray.
Keep me safely in Your way
as I face this world today,
be it sunny, be it gray,
keep me from wandering off, astray
for You, Lord are the truth, the way.
Let me not forget, Lord, all I am,
any good, comes from Your hand,
help me to know, to understand,
and let not pride my soul impede,
guide me Lord and humble me.
Let me not look, Lord, to myself,
for in all things I need Your help…

Help me, oh Lord, to shine for You,
in some way tell others Your good news
and to You always, Lord, be true,
help me, Lord to follow through,
living for You in all I do,
say some kind word and share a smile,
Lord, help me walk that extra mile,
reach out to some hungering heart,
oh Lord, help me do my part
to help calm another’s fears,
wipe away some sorrows tears,
help some soul to find their way
and not lead any heart astray…

And Lord, should I stumble at my task,
pick me up, oh Lord, I ask
and set me steady on Your path,
walking sure the path You blaze
for me to walk, oh Lord, this day.
Help me not, oh Lord, forget
’tis You bestow all benefit
and every blessing You impart.
Oh Lord, give me a humble heart.
Shine, oh Lord, through me today
so some other soul may find their way.
