My run in with the cops.

a couple months ago, my neighbor knocked on my door. It was two in the morning! I got up and answered the door. My neighbor said that some one was looking into my windows while I was sleeping and as my neighbor asked him, what he was doing there, he ran of…

Imidiatly I called my husband (he is an airline pilot and gone a lot) to tell him about it. I was really scarred and we talked about guns to protect myself and my son. We do have two dogs, but they are chihuahuas, so if the put their full weight into a bite, you might feel a little pinch on your ankle, so they are no protection. After looking around I decided to get a bebe gun, because I didn’t want a real gun in the house. I went into the woods for some pracrice shots, and stached it away on top of the fridge. It made me feel much safer and I slept better.

One morning I looked out the window and saw a black beat up car I never seen before in my neighborhood. I thought, it could be the guy, who was looking into my window. It freaked me out. But I let it go. But as it still stood out there in the afternoon, I started to get scared again. All of a sudden the dogs started barking at the front door. So I grabbed my gun and looked outside my door. There was no body at the door, but on the side walk infront of my door, there was a group of girls standing and chating. So I’m standing there, on my porch, with a gun in my hand, trying to explain, why I had the gun.

I went back inside and had the great idea, to get the license plate number of the black car, just in case I need it , if it really was that guy looking into my window.

After I unlocked the door I grabbed the gun, for safety, in case he jumps out or something.

Standing on the sidewalk, I’m looking at the license plate and try to remember the numbers. As I stand there and memorize the numbers, I think, maybe it’s a friend of my neighbor, and I walked towards her house as all of a sudden, a car drives up right beside me and a guy jumps out with a gun pointed at me. Needless to say, I was scared to death. I jelled, who are you, and he answered, that he was an undercover cop!

He said drop the gun and lay down, and just like in a movie I threw the gun out to the side and I didn’t even hit the floor jet, as I have that guy sitting on top of me, twisting my hand behind my back and putting me in hand cuffs.

Everything happened so fast I didn’t even have time to cry. They put me in the back of a cop car, with the legs sticking out and the door open and asked me why I had a gun and why I ran around in a neighborhood with a gun.

I found out that one of my neighbors (she talks trash about everyone on the block) has called the police to report me. She said I was on drugs and I had a gun. I was not on drugs and I just tried to be safe. But that didn’t fly with the police, so I got a court date for concealed deadly weapon.

Today I went to court and I got 74 hours of community service and a fee of 321 dollars.  I thought this was a bunch of bull s!@# and the weapon was not concealed, it was in by but crack and visible. So my be be is laying in the police evidence room and I’m back to being scared at night!
