A personal view on how british muslims are being typecast as being islamic extremists. As an English muslim I know for a certainty that the majority of the muslim community hate being typecast and hate the extremists as much as anyone.
The protestors who bad mouthed our soldiers in Luton a few weeks ago need to get their priorities right. During the first gulf war I didn’t see any Muslims protesting on the streets calling our soldiers murderers, rapists, child-killers. But then again what could they have said…..NOTHING. No matter which way it is seen from Sadaam Hussein was a power hungry greedy man who would trample anyone to get what he wanted. REMEMBER KUWAIT. The last time I checked Kuwait was a Muslim country so why did these brain washed Muslims not protest against him then. Our soldiers being sent to Iraq to stop Sadaam suited the international Muslim community at that time. I agree that now Sadaam is dead it is time our soldiers came home.
It is high time that these brainwashed British Muslims listened closely to the majority and not the minority. The wars have happened and there is nothing they can do to stop it. Any Muslim knows that committing suicide no matter what the reason is forbidden, yet extremists convince and intimidate young people to become suicide bombers. Ask yourselves the most obvious question why do these people not do it themselves. They will convince you that it is their duty to recruit; the truth is they value their life and their afterlife too much to take that risk. Funny…..as I am writing this and watching the news at the same time a suicide bomber has blown up a police station in Islamabad. How do they justify it afterall this is Muslims killing Muslims.
The list goes on and on and I could talk about this subject for hours on end, but I think you get the point. Being married into a Muslim family I know their values. My extended Muslim family are just as much against extremism as I am. They don’t agree with how some people feel they should express their hatred for non-Muslims. I have studied Islam and it is a peaceful and fulfilling religion. So why do we allow the minority to give the religion a bad name, they do not speak for all of us.
