I was born in city called Bogor at Indonesia archipelago country. I want to share with all of you about my city Bogor.

This city was surrounded by three volcanic mountain, one of them still in active. The temperature of this city is quite cool if compare to the other city in tropical country & this city also has jungle in the middle of city, we called Botanical garden which most of the botanist all over the world know about this garden and most of them come to this garden to do some research because this garden collect so many scarce plant from all over the world.

Botanical garden  was established in early of year 1800 by Thomas Stamford Raffles on 80 hectare area, this garden is one of Bogor palace area and it is placed exactly in the middle of Bogor city.

As Bogor citizen me and my family  always come to this garden whenever we need time for relax. By walking around the garden I can teach my children to know and more caring about plantation. In this garden you can feel and take a very very fresh air when you are breathing.

It’s very relaxing to see all over around us in green scenery

All the trees have a name tag on it with latin name so it’s easy for you to know what is the tree’s name and original habitat and the functional of this tree because many of them can be use for herb medicine or for food flavor.

One of the most popular collection is Bunga Bangkai or Amorphophalus titanum Becc.

Bunga means flower and  Bangkai  means dead bodies, yes we called Bunga Bangkai because the smell of the flower it’s really stink like dead bodies.

This flower originally from Sumatera Island one of the island in Indonesia. This flower can reach 5 meters high and the smells is for attracting flies.

This botanical garden also have Zoologi Museum which collecting skeleton and stuffed animals. In this museum we can see skeleton of blue whale, skeleton of man, skeleton of orang utan and many other skeletons. We also can see stuffed Rhino one of the scarce animals in west point of Java island.
