Funny April Fools Day prank.
April Fools is here, and I’m sure kids (and adults) are busy planning how to execute their best prank to date. I haven’t participated (willingly) in April Fool’s pranks in some time, but I did have my hayday some years ago in pranking. I used to pull the funny little pranks all the time, like switching the salt with the pepper, turning all the clocks ahead an hour, scaring my Mom half to death; but the best (and very harmless) prank I ever pulled was on my Dad.
I took some red Kool-aid–which my Mom almost never let me drink; “Too much sugar,” she said–and poured the powder mix into my parent’s showerhead. This required some manuevering to unscrew the showerhead piece, put the powder in, and do all of this before either of my parents used their bathroom. I really didn’t know who would take a shower first, but as soon as my dad got home from work, he went right to the shower. I ran to my room and closed the door, where I waited, giggling to myself. Any minute now…
I wish I could have seen exactly how red the water started coming out, or the expression on my Dad’s face, but I did hear the result. Somehow, he knew it was me, and a minute later I heard him yelling my name and stomping down the hall to my room. I didn’t really get in trouble, but my Mom never bought me Kool-Aid again.
