In this fast pace world we all now live in, do you find you still do not have time to do all the things you always wanted to do? Strange or What?

I remember as a kid I was always dreaming of being a Cowboy, because Cowboys always won the battle on the T.V shows that I watched.

But as I become a teenager, I changed my dream to wanting to become a Rcok’n'Roll singer, like Elvis, Cliff Richards, Jerry Lee Lewis, etc, but that was short lived, as I found out pretty soon, into my dream, that I couldn’t sing to save my life.  So I did the next best thing, and that was I managed good singers, and entertainers, and that got me into Clubs, Hotels, and I always had plenty of good woman around me, not necessarily with me, but around my space!

As I got a little older, I wanted to become a more professional type person, like an Accountant, did the first semester, and quickly realised it was to damm difficult and boring!! Maybe a Real Estate Agent, exciting, but frustrating on waiting for people to make up their minds, etc, and then waiting to see if their finances were coming through, etc, etc.

So I packed all of those dreams away, and decided to run my own business, What type of business, as I really didn’t know much about anything but Music, Dancing and a little about Accounting, and Real Estate??  As my parents were in the Fruit and Vegetable Business, I decided that I would go into the family business as it was the quickest and the cheapest way to get into business and make a dollar or two!!   Good idea as far as money was concerned, Very Bad Idea as far as lifestyle, and keeping the marriage together!! as I got involved in the business I found I was working up to 15 hours + to earn this good money, but always felt to tired to do anything worthwhile with my wife and family, so of course my marriage came to a crushing halt!!  Because the money was pretty good, we stuck it out in the Fruit business for some 16 years, in hindsight, about at least 10 years to long!! and it really again, in hindsight was a wasted period apart from accumulating money, that was all going out, to educate and give the children as much as we possibly could, never taking time out to give our marriage relationship a bit of time to enjoy and develop, so it all ended amicably, thank god for that.

Anyway, after about of 1-2 years of useless and aimlessly wandering around  with nothing in particular to aim for, I decided to go back into the work force and start doing something constructive with my life!

I got into the Adult Book Industry and part managed a store for a friend, it was an eye-opener and a good discussion topic at any gathering I would attend amongst the men, and woman.  I stayed on with this job as a full time, and part timer for some 7 years, as I was actually enjoying it!  Met a lot of interesting people and heard a lot of interesting stories, which I may get into some other time!

Around the end of this 7 years of Adult Industry work, I started to go out Dancing and I actually met some fine woman, and in particular one evening, I met my wife, who I proposed to in only 30 seconds, after having  met her for the first time.  Strange how life works!  but we have been happily married for 10 years now!

Since I married, I left the Adult Industry and work for some big Supermarket chain, as a Department Manager, and did not like one moment there, in fact, the moment I walked into the store on my first day, I knew I had made a mistake, and so I only lasted 6 months as the Manager, but stayed on for a further 12 months, on a part-time basis while I was looking for other job opportunities.

Well one did finally come up and so I took it, and have been doing this little job for some 8 years! now and have enjoyed every minute, and it is from this job, that I have learned so much, done so much, met some fantastic people, and without a doubt was the best job move I have ever made.  Unfortunately, it doesn’t pay all that handsomely, but Hey!, I am happy and that has to account for at least $50,000 PA.

I do three other part-time jobs, just to keep myself occupied, and even though I do not make a lot of money from any  of these part time jobs, I love doing them, and it allows me to go on and meet wonderful people, and get great ideas, and satisfaction in helping and assisting many people out of doing these jobs.

So the whole point of this little story, is to point out, that it does not matter how much time we have on our hands, we can always think of something else to do, to take it up, and run out of it, time that is!!!!

So in conclusion, to this story, do what makes you happy, so at least if you do run out of time, you will have at least done something that you loved doing, and after all isn’t that what life is all about.

Happy to receive your comments on your life experiences as well.
