This a personal experience through which I would like to tell you how you should face trying situations and manage your resources for the future.

The same situation was faced by me in 1992. I was working with a company owned by the Government of India in their corporate office. Since I was honest and did not yield to the rule bending nature of the chairman of the company, I had to leave the organisation due to a difference of opinion like my father. I opted for voluntary retirement when I was just 47. There was no pension except the compensation, provident fund and gratuity amount. My wife did not like the idea of my leaving the job. I had three small sons who were just going to schools and a dependent sister, whose husband made her a destitute. I had a strong will like my father and was not afraid about the future. The government promised to provide job even to those who opted for voluntary retirement, not under the same ministry but under other ministries. But this promise was breached later by the government. Thus, I could not get a job again in the government services. The private market was also dry as such I could not get any job there also. However, I did not end my life nor did I run away from such a situation. I managed my future as well as money on hand in such a way that I could fulfil my duties, educate my sons well and got them married in good places. I am still managing my resources well so that I can provide for the expenses for our livelihood by the grace of the Almighty.

Let me tell you how I managed my resources.
