The proof of my goodness…

It has been three years ago that I have watched the movie “Pay It Forward.” And then I decided upon myself to actually do the deed.  Later did I realize that I am already actually doing it in small ways.

The principle of “Pay It Forward” is to do good deeds to other people and these other people will do good deed to other people and so on until all of us in doing good.

Actually, I have experienced so many incidents that this pay it forward thing has really paid off and this time I am the “other people,” I am the recipient.  You see, I have been an Uzzaper.  Uzzap is a service over the Smart telecommunication network here in the Philippines wherein you can chat for free using your cellular phone.  I am using the nick K.  Here in this particular chat room called “Buk1”, I have been a regular chatter of at least four months.  My fellow chatters know some of my deepest feelings, as they are my outlet.  I am not afraid to share my emotions since we don’t know each other personally, hence they can not judge me.  In Buk1, I am K, 40 years old, male from Bukidnon.  Perhaps all my Ka-uzzap would agree that I am the most mysterious chatter.  I never intended to divulge my identity because when I do, I would kiss uzzap goodbye.

Until one day, July 5, 2009, I need to go to Davao City for some personal business.  And the place I would go to is not in map, and that day, I have no available friends who could instruct me on the location, except my cyber friends, who ironically were having a meeting (eyeball) the night before.

So here I go, off to Davao, with only a map, an address, cell phone and money.  I have no choice but to ask assistance from my uzzap friends.  And I was not disappointed; they did assist me and helped me arrange my trip.  Urgirl and Lolah offered to fetch me at the bus terminal and even tour me around the city after my business.  That was all arranged already.  Unfortunately, though at the very last hour the venue of my business was changed to a place that neither I nor my two friends are familiar of.
