Reminders All Around Us: How Do You Move Past The Pain?

On November 19th I was busy with a nephew and his issues and problems.  He is 34 and got in trouble with the law and my husband had gone to the food bank.   My daughter was busy and had two of her six children<!– google_ad_client = “pub-4406890541508369″; google_ad_width = 336; google_ad_height = 280; google_ad_format = “336×280_as”; google_ad_type = “text”; google_ad_channel = “0983857143″; google_color_border = “FFFFFF”; google_color_bg = “FFFFFF”; google_color_link = “492985″; google_color_text = “000000″; google_color_url = “FFFFFF”; google_ui_features = “rc:0″; //–> google_protectAndRun(”ads_core.google_render_ad”, google_handleError, google_render_ad); at the camp house with her.   The other four were about a quarter mile away on the property with their father who was with the help of  two other men; getting in winter firewood.  Firewood is the only source of heat.    My daughter called me and wanted me to come over as soon as my husband got home from the food bank, to get the four younger children.   They were to spend the rest of the week with me.  It was Wednesday August 19th, the day our world went dark.   My grandchildren spend 3-4 days a week with me.   Including nights.    My son in law had wood orders he was also filling.    Two of the children who were supposed to stay with their father decided to walk to where their father was at.   Someone had turned off the truck radio to the cabin or he could not hear it over the power saws.   My daughter could not get ahold of him and she was super busy with summer time things, sorting, cleaning and getting winter things ready and canning.     She also had several disruptive phone calls.   I was to go and pick up the children around 7:00.

As I was waiting for my husband, my second oldest son and children arrived to spend the rest of the week with us.  My son got his boat out and was cleaning and washing it as he wants to sell it.  My husband got home and was unloading the food bank stuff and we were putting things away.   A deputy sheriff came looking for my daughter’s place, they live on our property but different address. He did not tell us why.  He drove off and later came back.    We went over to where my SIL and daughter were at the camp house,  not realizing she had rushed to the hospital, meeting the ambulance on the way with her husband. They could not get us on their cell phones.   They met the ambulance.   Our grandson Gerrin had been climbing up on the pick up side racks as he often did.   He loved to climb and when we went to parks he was always up on the jungle gym and monkey bars.    Those things are about 9 feet from the ground.    The truck racks are about 6.5 feet from the ground.

that is difficult. Especially when you have people in your area serving who dislike people in general whether it’s children, women or large pickups.
I get frustrated with the amount of people “serving” in long term care environments who really ought not to be there.
and other areas of service one who is not compassionate to ones fellow man should not be in a position to teach, preach, or other wise serve.
Peace be with you and yours and yes, the little one is sitting with Jesus.

    Thank you Cynthia.
I don’t understand some people and thier hatred and not allowing others to grieve without making it a crime. When it was a pure accident. It is over a month now and still the police won’t release the truck. Wood orders need to be delivered by October 21st. Or they lose the income to help feed and care for their other 5 children.
