This is a very interesting and humorus article! I slightly tasted frog legs but did not taste well to me. However, I’ve tried allligator tail and if I remember correctly it tasted like chicken. lol

Down south they go “gigging for frogs” But I don’t remember then pulling off the legs and throwing the rest back!! That sounds horrible.

Interesting. I don’t see a problem with taking the legs, because the storks are going to eat them whether you take the legs or not. So it’s to your gain, and the stork loses nothing.

It’s like that joke about the Human Society having two vicious, bloodthirsty dogs up for adoption that nobody wants. If they are not adopted soon, they will be euthanize. Killed ‘humanely.’ Both of them.

But if someone wants to adopt these two vicious dogs and put on a dog fight and one gets killed and the other lives, -well that is ‘inhumane’ and won’t be allowed so it’s all a matter of spin. :-

I’ve eaten these as a kid, but at a restaurant only, and only a few times. I thought I could taste the swamp in them once or twice, but maybe that was my active imagination. I never knew the legs were taken off while they were still alive, or even that that could be done. It does sound inhumane. As humans, with ethical and intellectual abilities well beyond the rest of the animal kingdom, I think we need to be humane as we catch, and slaughter our food, unlike the rest of the carnivores and omnivores out there. But, I also disagree with the loss of the total frog as it is humanely slaughtered. We need to both be humane, and not waste any parts of our slaughtered food.

My sister has frogs legs!!! LOL I’ve seen her swimming.
