A historical telling of the last three months.

For those who follow my writing (and for any who don’t but stumble upon this anyway), it may be apparent that I haven’t been very active on Triond lately.  It seems that my publications dropped off in August and my presence has been lacking on the forums as well.

It’s been one of those times when Real Life takes over and the internet begins gathering dust; and I must admit that I have loved being out of doors and focusing on other projects.  So what exactly has taken up all of my time?  Well, a large portion of my time is always taken up by my “Day Job” and while that is always something I have to contend with there has been a pretty substantial change in the ebb and flow of work lately.  Although I haven’t been spending a ton more time there, it has been taking more from me mentally and has taken away some of my creativity.  Also, I have been involved in some events in and around Oregon which have been time consuming and fun!

In late July and early August was SuperGame XXXVIII put on by the great guys at Warpaint International.  If you haven’t checked out Warpaint International’s website (www.warpaintpb.com) and visited their fields in Salem, Oregon you definitely should.

September brought a ton of writing opportunities on the other site I publish on (Associated Content), and I was able to write 14 articles (my busiest publishing month-to-date).  I also attended another paintball event with GearheadzPaintball  at SniperzDen in St. Paul, Oregon.

Last weekend, my husband (and owner of GearheadzPaintball) and I did a 10K walk across the Columbia River on the Astoria-Megler Bridge. Although we didn’t come in 1st place, we did finish the Great Columbia Crossing with time to spare and lived to tell the tale.

Presently, I am writing to you from a LAN event sponsored by Intel, Portland LANFest.  As I’m sitting here between quests and campaigns I thought I would update all of you with my progress both personally and professionally.

I will uncountably be spending more time away from the PC as the holidays approach and I begin completing some other projects that don’t require an internet connection, but I will try to continue to keep you all informed of my whereabouts.

Don’t send a search party just yet… I’m still here.
