Torchwood: Children of Earth….WAS PURE AWESOME!
He’s thinking about leaving us all….Why Jack!!? Why!?
Torchwood Day 5 was impressive wasn’t it? I mean how it ended was just….well unexpected and brings on the little hopes of something being planned for those three episodes of Doctor Who coming to us over the next few months. Will Captain “Hot Man” Jack be appearing in them? I really wish it was so, but knowing how wishful thinking works because I was for Patrick Stewart as Davros and from It shall remain wishful thinking…..off track, sorry!
Back to the pressing issue of the episode itself; that was simply a gem to love from the moment I saw the preview on Day 4 to every moment of it on Day 5. They did so much from people committing suicide, a bastard child of a prime mister, lanto Jones being utterly and undeniably dead (NOOOOO!), Jack leaving and Gwen being left as the only member of Torchwood on Earth to watch The Rift and pregnant to…..I mean how will the maternity leave work? That’s interesting now, because how the hell will Gwen and Gareth marriage work? If they’re the only ones left….I mean what about the already mentioned maternity leave and how will they cope? All very confusing to think of the relentless real side of things to come about with Jack leaving to hopefully turn up in Doctor Who…..wait! Where the hell were Sarah Jane Smith and MR Smith? They could’ve done something to help, or were they sitting silently at home waiting for it to blow over “Shawn of the Dead” style?
Luke: “The world’s going to chaos!”
Sarah: “We’ll sit it out and wait for it to blow over”
Luke: “But what if-?”
Sarah: “We’ll sit and wait!”
MR Smith: “I have a solute-”
Sarah: “SHUT UP!”
Somewhere else in the universe:
Doctor: “I’m lonely”
Tardis: “No shit!”
After these two small brief moments of hilarity, I recommend you to watch Day 5 and the series as a whole on BBC iplayer or even YouTube…..pure and simple enjoyment….well not enjoyment after how depressing it got towards the end.
