Flash Fiction with a twist.
She pulled the black satin wrapper closed around her voluptuous nude body. Her heavy breasts hung loose within the satin as she released her long flaming tresses from the folds. Red tipped feet silently carried her from carpet to tile and to the window of the tiny apartment kitchen.
Her view of the back alley was spectacular and her heart gladden at the sight of the shining black Jag with the morning sun sparking off tinted windshields.
She knew her stalker was inside with a bottle of expensive bourbon and what he thought was his Humolog Insulin. Bourbon and diabetes were not good bedfellows but Brad her ex-boyfriend/lover and wealthy entrepreneur had never learned that lesson, poor man.
She lovingly remembered happier times when Brad had signed her name to a multimillion dollar life insurance policy to prove his undying love for her. It sat in one of his many safety deposit boxes and she could be patient for it would be found after his funeral.
Luck was with her the day she met Ray, the young pharmacy tech who worked at the local branch which supplied Brad with his insulin. How lucky for her Humolog was a clear insulin and easily replaced by one with such skills.
It was too bad Ray had left for college to fulfill his dream of becoming a pharmacist. She would miss their afternoons together. She loved the way he would suckle her breast as he sheathed himself in her warmth. He was such an energetic young man.
She needed to gather herself before she spoke with the detective on her stalking case. Detective Morrow had been so kind to her, divorced, middle aged, balding with just a hint of a pot where rock hard abds should have been, he was her saving grace, her rock in a storm. She knew he would have to check on the body in the car while he had her call 911, he was just that kind of man.
She eased herself slowly back into the bedroom and watched the man sleeping in her bed. Her life was about to begin a new chapter and she had all the time in the world besides Detective Morrow was such a good lover. Maybe, just one more time?
