Chapter One
A Halo Universe Fanfiction.

Months and months seemed to pass by as the UNSC cruiser ship floated through the galaxy headed toward the HALO ring. The cruiser was finally approaching the Ring and it would be only an hour until all the marines and Spartans on board the ship would be waking up from Cryo sleep and stepping foot onto the new land ready to fight. The Cryo chambers began to slowly open, except for one of the chambers that began to malfunction. The Chamber woke up Sgt. Buck, a newly armored Spartan. The chamber however began taking away oxygen without opening. Buck began to hit the glass furiously for a few seconds. One of the Cryo managers rushed over and rapidly pressed the emergency open button. While hitting the button it still would not open. Three men quickly picked up crowbars and began to pry the chamber open.

After only a few seconds the chamber opened and Buck emerged gasping for air.
“Are you alright Sergeant?” asked one of the men.
“Yeah I think I will be alright” Replied Buck.

Buck clutched his chest as he recovered from the loss of air. He then walked over slowly to a window in the ship and peered through. A giant ring in space was there. He could not believe his eyes, it was much bigger than he ever imagined it to be. Buck began to put on all his Spartan armor. The suit was bulky but he knew it would protect him well. Once all his body armor was in place he picked up his Mark V. helmet and slowly placed it on his head. It was only slightly more difficult to see but Buck wiped the front of the helmets glass and things began to become more clear. Buck played with the helmets controls for a little while to get used to wearing it. He began switching night vision on and off. Once he was done getting accustomed it was time to leave the ship and walk on the HALO ring, where the enemy was already waiting.

Good luck with it as you write more chapters. I hope you find a good following.
