Hoot Owl Inn is a charming hotel, on a snowy town, on a starless night. Or is it just my imagination?
It is dark, and there is a full moon, but there are no starts. The winter night is cold, but people, and specially children seem to be enjoying it.
The light blue snow covers most of the town, except the roads, the frozen river and the roof of the houses.
A beard waiter is serving “Sizzling hot eats” to a mother and his child. Lots of people are ice skating in the main river, while a bunch of kids are sliding down the snowy hills. They are all wearing colorful clothes, despite the gray atmosphere.
It is impossible not to notice that most trees do not have leaves, just the smaller pines.
Smoke is coming out of the houses chimneys, and electric light can be seen inside them, suggesting some people are at home.
In the middle of it all, a red banner welcomes people to the Hoot Owl Inn. Through its main windows it can be seen that there are people having dinner it its restaurant. Their carriages are outside.
The other item calling for attention is the fire by the main river. That and the cat that is climbing a tree.
No one has made a snowman, which seems to be a wasted opportunity. Not even snow fights… If only all of this was real, and not just a paint in the wall, I would make sure to fix that much.
