Love frozen in time.

Mina clung to Hwang tightly, shivering, trying to stay warm. They were both trapped in an ice cave. They had  been searching for Soul Calibur, the sword said to bring salvation. Now ice surrounded them, trapping them in. The air around them was frigid.

Mina held on to Hwang, trying desperately to stay conscious. Hwang’s muscular arms held her close to him. He felt intense guilt overwhelming him. He had failed to protect his beloved Mina. He wished he had been more forceful in telling her to stay outside. Now, because of him, she was doomed to die with him in their icy tomb.

“I am so sorry Mina,” Hwang whispers mournfully. “I could not protect you. I failed you and your father.”

Mina looks up at him with her luminous eyes, seeing his regret and sorrow.

“No Hwang. Do not be sorry. I made my choice to be with you. I rather die with you than live alone.”

Before he could say anything, she kisses him, a deep, lingering kiss, full of love and tenderness. He tasted like melted honey in her mouth. A single tear rolls down his cheek, sadness and love consuming him. He kisses her urgently, desperately, clinging to her.

Slowly, the air around them covers them in ice crystals, covering them with ice, turning them into ice sculptures. An ice sculpture of two lovers, frozen forever in an embrace, bound together for all eternity. A love that will never die.

Hi Shirley. ^_^ Don’t worry, this isn’t the end of Mina and Hwang.
    Love conquers all.

So gothic and morbid. I absolutely love this piece.
