They desperately needed each other.

Mi-Na looked up Hwang, her rosy cheeks stained with tears, her eyes filled with sadness. She looked so tragically… so poignantly… beautiful. It was the most heart-wrenching thing he had ever seen. He kneeled down before her, causing her to back away, breaking his heart.
“I not going to hurt you, Mi-Na.”
She shakes her head, looking so afraid.
“You can trust me, Mi-Na. I’m a friend.”
Her eyes fill him with intense sorrow.
“Do not be afraid, Mi-Na. Please…”
A look of hope registers on her face. Hwang gently touches her cheek. She starts to tremble.
“Its okay Mi-Na. You are safe. I won’t let anyone hurt you.”
She suddenly kisses him, her tears flowing. Hwang freezes, taken aback.
“Mi-Na, we shouldn’t be doing this. You–”
“Please, Hwang,” she cries, cutting him off, “I need you… Please.”
He looks at her, seeing her grief, seeing her longing. How could he refuse her? He takes her mouth, caressing her softly. She kisses him back, kissing him with great urgency, with a great need. They cling to one another, their hands touching each other frantically.
“I love you, Mi-Na,” Hwang cried out, “I so desperately love you.”
Mi-Na cries, kissing him hard. “And I you, Hwang. I so love you.”
Soon, they are drowning… drowning in their love… drowning in their sorrow… drowning…
