Fictional Halloween Story on USS Hornet.
“Time to go on the Hornet!” said a new scout excited.
“You may be happy, but we certainly are not.” I said, pointing to Albert.
“Yeah…” sighed Albert.
As an Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, I share the responsibility of keeping scouts safe with Albert, who is the Senior Patrol Leader. I brought up the rear of the line while Albert led the scouts on to CVS12, USS Hornet.
The only reason that I’m on this trip is because I want the Aviation Merit Badge. I really wanted to go home when I heard that Albert and I got night guard duty inside the dorm to make sure all the scouts don’t wander around. However, I changed my mind pretty soon.
As we are sitting in the chapel taking the Aviation Merit Badge, we heard really strange sounds from off-limit places, which means there should be no one there. The class went on for another hour, and all the new scouts began to shiver at the strange sounds near the chapel.
“OK, scouts, why don’t we take a break and forget about the weird and scary sounds.” Said the merit badge counselor.
“Oh my gosh, I can’t believe this! We are taking a break just because there are weird sounds near the chapel? I want to finish the class so I can look around the Hornet!” As soon as I had that idea, the toilet stall next to me flushed, but there was no one in there. I walked out as soon as I can, and I heard the toilet flush again. I thought I was just tired because I slept really late the night before until Albert came over to talk to me.
“Hey, one of our weblos is scared because toilets have been flushing for no reason.” Said Albert.
“I heard the toilet flush too, but I don’t see what is so creepy about that.” I replied.
