This is an adventure story about a hidden treasure box.

Adventure-hidden treasure box

The day was a chirpy and vivid day sunshine shone through the windows; a cloudless aquamarine sky proudly displayed a glittering and shining sun. Birds chirped joyously on time with the breeze.

Celia and Emily, the squirrels were happily frolicking in the shallow waters of the local beach.

“Ooh, look!” Shouted Emily joyfully splashing a series of droplets of water at Celia.

“Wow, what is that floating on the sparkling crystal-clear sapphire water?” Shouted, Celia energetically bouncing up and down in the water, causing splashes of water flying everywhere.

Emily dived like a fish (well can a squirrel (dive like a fish) towards the object bobbing in the waves gently.

“Hey” shouted Emily” it’s a bottle with a piece of paper in it.

“Cool, open it, quick, quick.” Yelled Celia with great excitement

Emily speedily opened the bottle and scanned the note in front of her; on the note was a well drawn map of the local beach they were standing on right now.  The two squirrels scanned the map looking for any place that was super familiar to them.

“Hey Celia, that’s where the five palm trees are, you know next to the café that sells delicious ice-cream and lollies.”

“Then come on, what are you waiting for Emily lets quickly go there” yelled Celia enthusiastically. The two squirrels sprinted towards the five palm trees, with their short legs pumping furiously.

A minute later Celia and Emily arrived at the five palm trees, the palm trees were situated at an interesting pattern two on the first row, one in the middle of the middle row and then two on the last row.

“Huh Emily do you get this” asked Celia in a confused tone.

“Nope, I’ve got no clue, my brain just died” answered Emily looking befuddled

“Oh, oh, oh wait I just got an idea, look at the tree in bird’s eye view!” shouted Celia in an excited tone.

“Huh, why do I need to do that?” asked Emily in a totally befuddled voice.

“Because if you look at it in bird’s eye view it looks like an x!” shouted Celia triumphantly.

“This means we should dig where that tree is, the one in the middle of the middle row!” cried Emily excitedly

“Exactly but wait here for a moment I need to go get something we need to use.”  Shouted Celia

Five minutes later Celia returned puffing hard carrying two spades.

“Come on lets dig” shouted both of them at the same time. After a bit of furious digging for a full stop fifteen minutes the two squirrels dug up a treasure box, inside the treasure box was a neat and tiny collection of sapphires, emeralds and diamonds. There was one piece of paper, saying your adventure is nearly over go to Marsha Park and you will find a box, inside the box is another piece of paper that contains very interesting information about you two.

“Quick come on Celia, let’s run to Marsha Park to get the box before anybody else takes it,” screamed Emily grinning

“Okay, okay, jeez what’s with the hurry, gosh!” replied Celia tiredly. Five minutes later, the two squirrels arrived at Marsha Park and picked up the box. Inside the box was a piece of paper as promised, on it showed an official document showing Celia and Emily as twins.

“Whoa” murmured Celia and Emily at the same time. The next thought that hit them was ‘way cool, I’ve got an awesome twin sister. Celia and Emily the squirrels went home chattering about their new lives together. Back at home they showed all their family, friends and neighbors. An old squirrel stood hidden in the shadows, listening intently, well he thought I’ve done what I was meant to do now it’s time for me to go.
