He was Joseon’s most glorious swordsman.

It was a luminous, warm day, the sun shining bright. Mina sat in rapt attention, watching her lover practice. Hwang would twirl his sword, Blue Thunder, in the air, spinning it around. He would slash and thrust, his grunts punctuating each move, flipping and kicking, moving with incredible speed and strength.

Mina was thoroughly mesmerized. Hwang looked so magnificent, the sun kissing him, Blue Thunder glistening from its light. He was not only extremely powerful, but possessed great poise and grace as well. He had such control over his body, commanding himself to hold a move with incredible balance and precision. Mina loved to watch him. He was such a glorious warrior, slashing at the clear sky. No one was a more brilliant swordsman than him, with the exception of her father, who was also his teacher. Mina smiled. Both her father and Hwang got along very well. He was his best student. She could see why her father was so proud of him. She was proud of him. But she was also proud of her father as well. Hwang would not be the best if it were not for her father, imparting his knowledge and wisdom. Both pupil and master were well matched.

Hwang continued to strike the air, moving so majestically. Mina became breathless just watching him. She could hear his mighty cries, causing her heart to pound. He suddenly stopped, pointing Blue Thunder at her, his dark eyes upon hers, his chest heaving. Mina felt her cheeks flush, heating her all-over. The intense way that he would look at her made her completely lightheaded. It was as if he was devouring her with his smoldering eyes.

Hwang would walk slowly towards her, the rhythm of her heartbeat matching his steps. He stopped just in front of her, gazing down at Mina. She thought her heart might burst. He then kneeled on bended knee, placing Blue Thunder next to him, bowing before his beloved. Mina was completely touched, moved by his chivalry. He was at all times gallant. No other man ever treated her so well.

Hwang raised his head, his eyes piercing her soul. She placed a dainty hand on his cheek, granting him a gentle caress. He leaned into her tiny hand, enjoying her soft touch. She smiled radiantly at him, pleased that her liked her gentle caress. She would bend forward, kissing his forehead, brushing her lips ever so softly. Hwang would murmur appreciatively, relishing in her sweet attention. She was about to kiss his nose when he captured her lips with his mouth, stealing the kiss. Mina gasped, delighted. She would softly moan, wrapping her arms around his neck, clinging to him. He would lift her up, off the ground, holding her in his arms, their kisses becoming more fervent, more urgent… relinquishing their inhibitions… surrendering to their desires… yielding to each other… succumbing to love…

Chivalry and gallant, they fit Hwang so well, no wonder Mina loves him so!!
