The next day Fanta woke early in the morning just before dawn. She got out of bed and walked to the bathroom to take a shower. Before she was done a knock came to her door. She hurried and put on a robe that was hanging on the bathroom door. She quickly walked to the door and opened it up.
“I’m sorry, ma’am,” Sally said regretfully. “I didn’t mean to disturb you.”
“That’s alright, Sally,” Fanta said. “What can I do for you?”
“I was instructed to come and give you a wake up call,” she said. “But it seems that you’re already awake. Is there anything I can do for you?”
“No, Sally, I’m fine,” Fanta said. “I’m used to taking care of myself.” Sally looked a little hurt as the realization of not being needed came upon her. Fanta felt bad about saying what she had. “Sally, there is something you could do for me.”
“Yes, Miss, anything,” Sally said enthusiastically. “What is it?”
“Would you tell Dusk I need to talk to him… privately?”
“Oh, sure, right away,” Sally said with a funny kind of smile. “You really like him, don’t you?”
Fanta showed no emotion. “Just give him the message.”
“Alright, Miss Faigon,” she said and walked down the hallway.
Fanta closed the door and quickly changed into her black jeans and a plain navy blue top. She tied her long dark hair in ponytail and swiftly walked out the door and closed it behind her.
At that moment she spotted Dusk walking down the hallway. Her heart started to flutter, but she was determined to keep her composure. “Hey, Fanta, you wanted to see me?”
“I wanted to talk to you about last night,” she said, trying not to look him in the eye.
“Hey, I already apologized for that,” he snapped at her.
“No, I’m not blaming you,” she said, starting to get flustered. “It was partly my fault. I should have never let it get that far.”
