One of my favorite old anime still to this day is Tokyo Mew Mew. Its an old anime about 5 girls who get infused with the DNA of animals. They need to stop aliens from taking back the planet earth. They characters are Zoey, Bridget, Kikki, Corina, and Ren’ee. Together all five make Tokyo Mew Mew. They are all good friends who travel and deffend the earth in tokyo and they have gone through one hell of an adventure together. Zoey has a boyfriend she likes named Mark. Mark appears to be human in the begining of the anime series but its revealed later in the series that from the start he was the aliens leader. The real leader was sleeping inside of Mark dorment and never to come out. But Because of Dren one of the aliens that tried to extract Marks soul had accidently awakened Deep Blue the aliens leader. Zoey in the end Had to battle Mark for the sake of the earth. While Zoey was fighting Mark her heart was breaking in 2. She couldnt bring herself to fight him and almost lost her life until somehow Mark got the power on his own to seperate himself from Deep Blue. Mark held Deep Blue back from attacking giving Zoey the chance to destroy him. Zoey did but in the end had also destroyed Mark. Before Mark was able to die tho Zoey ran over to him and gave him all of the remaining power she had left. She gave her power and her life to save him. Later when Mark woke up next to Zoey he tried to wake her up. He lifted her up but her head fell back. Her body was cold and lifeless, she had died. Mark cried and held her body tight not letting go. The other Mew Mews ran into the room where Mark and Zoey was and saw Zoey dead. They all started to cry and then suddenly the castle they were in started to fall apart. They had all returned to human form so they couldnt get out. The aliens appeared and teleported them out of the castle. They were safe and the aliens took the castle and flew away with it into space where they had came from. Mark was crying over Zoey’s body and wouldnt let her go. He gave her one last kiss goodbye and then Zoey’s body started to glow. Her Mew form faded and she turned into a human again. Mark looked at her body as she started to wake up. Zoey looked at him and smiled then she hugged and embrassed him as hard as she could. In the end of the anime the girls were back to being normal. The alien threat was gone. The cafe was closed. Everything was back to the way it was before. Zoey and the other Mews returned to the cafe one last time and saw there old friends elliot and westley. They were happy to see them but realized something that shocked them all. Their DNA was still altered and there Mew forms came back. The power of the Mew Aqua only healed their DNA temperarily. They were the 5 Mews again and they ran out into tokyo happily. They are the saviors of tokyo and the earth. They are Tokyo Mew Mew!
