Meryl was waiting what felt like a year for Vash to return back to her safely. So, she could finally tell him how she really feels about him and hopes that he feels the same for her in return.She was sitting on the front porch watching the sun set, like always. She closes her eyes remembering the first time they ever meet. She wouldn’t believe that he was the legendary gunman Vash the Stampede, because how he loves donuts and to chase girls and how sweet he could be. She laughs to herself. Then she opens her eyes seeing a tall figure in the distance. Her heart begins to race as she stands up and walks off the porch. She never takes her eyes of the figure and as she gets closer she can make out the spiked hair and the long trench coat. So, she starts to run towards the figure and cries out his name “Vash!” She gets closer where she could see him just waving at her and smiling.She runs up to him saying” its , really you !” He smiles and says “hello, Meryl. She can feel her heart beating faster and that she was blushing. She wants so badly to wrap her arms around him and hug him tightly. Right as she takes a step closer to him. He asks”where are the donuts?” She softly sighs and says” inside the house.” Vash runs past her, knocking her over. She yells  at him ” hey! you didn’t even ask how i have been.” Meryl walks into the house and sees him eating the donuts. She says “i see you haven’t changed at all.” He smiles and says ” yeah i guess i haven’t.” Meryl smiles back then turns to walk away but as she does she feels Vash put his arms around her,hugging her tightly. She starts to blush and says”Vash! what are you doing?” He says “well, i didn’t get to hug you when i first got here.”He laughs alittle as he keeps hugging her.And says”Meryl ,whats wrong? “She shakes her head and softly says “nothing, why?” He says,” well your turning red.”             She whispers ” let me go, please.” Tears start to fall down her cheeks.Vash turns her around to face him as he continues to hold onto her.Vash moves one hand and gently brushes away the tears. Then he says “Meryl please tell me what is wrong.” She lays her head on his chest as more tears fall down her cheeks .She softly whispers ” i didn’t think i would ever see you again ,Vash.” And to tell you how i feel about you.” Vash holds her close and whispers”Meryl, I know how you feel, i’ve always known.He gently raises her chin up , so she is looking at him. Then he smiles and says ‘I love you too.” She smiles and says ” you do, really?” Vash nods saying ” yes, i do.” He slowly moves his head close to her face and gently kisses her lips. She closes her eyes , blushing deeply  as they kiss. He keeps kissing her alittle longer and holding her tightly.Then he gently moves away, looking at her and smiles. She slowly opens her eyes, looking up at him.Meryl smiles back at him and softly says, “Vash i love you.” He says ” I love you Meryl.” Then all of a sudden Vash’s stomach growls loudly and he laughs saying, “i’m hungry!” Meryl smiles and laughs. She says ” i’ll cook my famous stew.” He smiles saying “ok, sounds good.” Vash slowly lets her go and watches her go to the kitchen.  He walks over to the table and sits down. She comes out of the kitchen carrying a glass of cold beer for him and hands it to him. He smiles and says “thank you.” Then she goes back into the kitchen and begins to cook. After about an hour she brings him out a bowl. She puts it infront of him and says ” i hope you still like it.” He smiles and says ” it smells so good.” Then he takes a bite saying “mmm, this is good Meryl.” She smiles and says “thank you Vash.”Meryl sits down and eats, also takes a drink of her beer.After they are done eating, they continue to stay at the table and talk and drink. Vash was telling jokes and Meryl was laughing at them. Then Meryl walks over to Vash and starts to take off his trench coat. She says “aren’t you getting hot in that thing?”He nods and says “yeah, alittle.”Then she takes off her coat. She throws it on the ground with his.Meryl giggles and blushes as she sits on his lap. Then she softly whispers in his ear ” I love you Vash.” He closes his eyes and whispers back” I love you Meryl.”She starts to kiss his cheek, then his neck. As she was kissing his neck she started to unbuckle his shirt and gently slipped it off of him. Then she slowly and gently moves her hands across his chest. Vash softly whispers her name. She slowly moves her kisses to his cheek then to his lips. Then Vash wraps his arms around her tightly.Then he opens his eyes looking at her and gently pulls away and whispers ” Meryl, i want to, i really do but not when we are both drunk. He kisses her and then picks her up in his arms . He carries her to bed and gently lays her down. She softly whispers ,”ok.” Then Vash lays down beside her and softly sighs.              The next morning Vash is up cooking breakfast for Meryl and brings it to her in bed.He gently kisses her on the cheek and she slowly opens her eyes.He says” good morning, sleeping beauty.” She smiles and says ” good morning. He puts the tray on her lap and says ” i hope you like it.” She looks at the tray and sees an orange and pancakes. She looks up and smiles at him and says ” it looks good Vash.” She starts to eat,taking little bites. Then she says ” this is good.”He smiles at her. Then she says “thank you.” Vash says”i’m going out for alittle while , i’ll be back soon .”  She nods and says “ok, be careful.” He smiles and says ” always am.” Meryl finishes eating ,then gets up and puts her coat on. She wonders where Vash was going but she decided not to follow him , like she usually does. After about an hour she starts to get worried, so she goes outside. She walks into town and looks around , noticing it was very quiet than usual. Then she seen a man run past her, screaming ” We caught Vash the Stampede!” Meryl turns pale white and runs after that man. She gets to a crowd of people and sees they have Vash tied up and a rope around his neck as he is sitting on a horse. She lets out a scream, “No!” Then she yells at the towns people,” let him go! He hasn’t done anything wrong!” They all look at her and say ” So, he is Vash the Stampede and he need to pay for all of his crimes.” Meryl looks over to Vash then back to the towns people and say “I’m in charge of watching Vash and I say let him go right now!” Then all of the sudden someone shoots of a gun and spooks the horse, making it jump knocking Vash off. Meryl screams “No! Vash!”  She reaches for her gun and aims at the rope above Vash and shoots. Vash falls to the ground. Meryl runs over to him saying” are you ok, Vash?” He opens his eyes and looks at her. He nods and softly says “yes, but you shouldn’t have come.”She says hey,” i just saved you!” Then all of the towns people  gather around her and Vash . She points her gun at them and says, “stay back!” ” I don’t want to hurt any of you but if you don’t let us go right now, i will.” Meryl helps Vash up  and all of the towns people moved out of the way. She and Vash walked away and back home.                     They get home and Vash says” Meryl that was very dangerous what you did back there.” She nods and says  “yeah, but no different in what you have done for me.” He shakes his head. She just smiles at him. He walks over to her and wraps his arms around her, then he kisses her deeply. She closes her eyes and wraps her arms around him. Then he softly whispers”I love you.”Meryl smiles and says “I love you too.”Vash moves back some and gets down on one knee ,looking up at Meryl and smiles. He pulls out a black box and opens it.She looks down at the star shaped diamond ring in the black box.Tears start to fall down her cheeks and she softly whispers”oh, Vash.”He takes the ring out of the box and slips it on her finger.Then he asks ” Meryl Striff will you merry me and make me an honest man?”She smiles and nods”yes, oh yes Vash.” He stands up and wraps his arms around her. He kisses her and says” i’ve never been so happy and i love you so very much.”She smiles and says”and I love you .”Then he asks her “so, when do you want to get married?”She softly says “I don’t no, whenever you want to.” He smiles and says “ok, how about tomorrow?” Meryl nods and says ” ok, tomorrow it is.”                 Vash goes out and finds a preacher and brings him back to the house, where Meryl was waiting. The preacher asks if they have vows and Vash says” yes, i do.” Vash says ” Meryl i never thought i would find anyone to love me and be there for me.” But I did, I found you and promise to protect you and love you forever.”Meryl softly says ” Vash, i never thought i would find that one person to love me .” But, i did, i found you and i promise to love you and protect you for always.”Then the preacher asks ” Vash do you promise to take this woman in sickness and in health forever more?” Vash nods and says ” i do.” The preacher asks ” Meryl do you promise to take this man in sickness and in health and promise to have donuts for him everyday forever more?” Meryl smiles and says” yes, i do.” The preacher smiles and says ” i now pronounce you man and wife , you may kiss the bride.” Vash smiles and moves close to Meryl and kisses her deeply.Vash hugs Meryl tightly as they kiss.She hugs him back.Then she whispers”Vash I love you.”Vash smiles and softly says ” I love you Meryl.”          Three years pass by and Meryl is taking Vash Jr. and little Rem for a walk to the park. Vash is the new sheriff of the town ,keeping the peace.Vash Jr. is just like his daddy saying “for love and peace.”Little Rem is just like her mommy alway yelling and chasing after her brother.While at the park Vash Jr. got into a fight about his daddy being Vash The Stampede. But he wouldn’t fight back so, his sister got in and beat up the little boy who was talking about her daddy. Meryl was sitting down ,then she looked over and seen a crowd of children yelling. So, Meryl walked over to see what was going on and seen little Rem beating up a little boy.She yells out ” Rem! Stop it! Rem stops with tears falling down her cheeks and runs to her mom. Meryl asks”why were you fighting?”Little Rem says”because he was fighting with my brother and he was talking about daddy.” “He said daddy killed people.” Meryl shakes her head saying”no, he didn’t he saved people.” She takes the kids home and tells them to clean up for dinner.Vash gets home saying”I’m home.” Then Meryl walks over to him and hugs him. She tells him”today, little Rem got into a fight with alittle boy about you being  Vash The Stampede. Vash sighs alittle and asks”is she ok? “Meryl smiles and says “yeah, she is fine but that boy has a broke nose.” Vash took the week off to spend with his family.They all went to the park for a picnic. Vash and Vash Jr. were eating donuts while Meryl and little Rem were watching and laughing.
