Having recently been the victim of plagiarism I would like to send a message out to all the bloggers and artists in cyberspace to say SAFEGAURD your work. I will not name names in this article (since to do so is seemingly forbidden by the publishing site’s TOS.) The person/persons who plagiarised my work know who they are and so I need not mention names anyway.

Every artist, blogger, and filmmaker in cyberspace needs to be aware that plagiarism is unfortunately rampant in the information age. To plagiarists I will say this, plagiarism is still illegal (even if the age of cyberspace makes it easier)

This is neither threatening nor meant to insult anyone it is meant only for informational purposes.          Readers, if you find work being plagiarised be sure to let the original author know.                                             I hate to see anyone fall victim to plagiarists, if someone wants to use my work all you need to do is ask.         There is some stuff I will not let people borrow, but if you don’t ask how will you know?

Asking permission is common decency, and takes all of a few minutes to do.

It is not so difficult to do really,

thanks.

True. But don’t expect much. Especially if the thief is in a foreign country.

Good to know. I don’t know of anyone plagiarising my work online, but in university I had a few papers stolen.
