A quick note to regular readers.
Just a quick note, as I know some of the forum regulars get uppity when I get out of the habit of popping in, and because, more importantly, my previous plan of action is now woefully out of date.
As some of you will know, I am no longer a student and am instead a graduand of the University of Oxford, soon to be a graduate. Lucky me, eh? Well, although this ought to mean freedom and plenty of spare time to enjoy the heat-wave and lounge around watching the tennis, my unfortunate bank account demands funds, which means I need a job (or at least put in enough effort to keep the government giving me my jobseeker’s allowance). Student loans have left me not only in debt but in debt and utterly skint. Stir into the mix the need to sort out my bomb-strike-in-a-very-small-warehouse of a bedroom, a handful of half-finished projects and various other personal needs. I also need to get around to reworking my novel, finish that damn multimedia painting I was working on, start a sexy new blog or two (”sexy” here being a synonym for”appealing and easy to maintain”) and more importantly update my summer wardrobe and accompanying pill collection (I am not a summer person). In short: I am rather busy.
What this means for you, dearest reader, is that I will be publishing more, albeit sporadically, as I now have the time and the inclination to finish the many articles and projects on the lengthy to-do list (and will probably start promoting some of the ones I wrote during the exam period), but I will not be visiting the forum as often. I realise I’ve not read any of my friends’ pieces for a long while and I intend to spend a good few days going through things that catch my eye sometime soon (no I haven’t forgotten you!), probably after I’ve finished reading a few more of the novels I’ve bought over the past three years and not had the time to get to.
So, if you don’t see my username flickering up on the forum, don’t worry, and please, PLEASE don’t stop viewing my new pieces just because I haven’t found the time to look at any of yours recently. I really do need those views at the moment!
