Discussion (see this essay): Normally a Lightchild has all Nine Gifts Within Measure at Need, arrayed in different archetypal roles. As a general (though not hard-and-fast) rule, the further down a cognitive process is in the hierarchy of a Lightchild’s archetypes, the harder its associated Gift is to access. Thus an ENFP Inspirer (Discoverer Advocate) normally finds it very difficult to access Strength (Se), in contrast to an ESTP Doer (Promoter Executor), who accesses Strength on an almost constant basis.

On occasion, a Lightchild has one or more Gifts Without Measure at Need. This grants them a default Gifting Within Measure as well, one higher than most Lightchildren have. For example, Susan Starrider has Strength, Perspective and Healing Without Measure at Need, not surprising given her ESTP Doer type and her calling as the Daughter of Strength. Chris Alan Starbright (ENFP Inspirer) uniquely has All Nine Gifts Without Measure at Need, which in combination are called the White Hand. Thus both of these Lightchildren have a default Strength Within Measure of five times Adami normal for their sizes and builds, but Chris Alan must use much more mental energy to draw upon Strength Without Measure than Susan does, and when he does the temptation is far stronger to use it in a negative rather than a positive way.

Like Chris Alan, Alex has Light Without Measure at Need (Hs). This gives both of them a very high default level of Light Within Measure at Need. (It is still “at Need” because while technically they can summon it at will in most circumstances, they still would be constrained from frivolous uses of it.) Naturally it also gives them a phenomenal (and theoretically limitless) amount of Light Without Measure at Need, able to manifest itself in ways not limited by distance or relativity.

But Alex also has two other Gifts Without Measure. The Gift of Tongues (Ne), Leading/Dominating in Chris Alan, is Supporting/Overprotective in Alex. In other ways of describing the archetypes involved (which ways may be clearer overall), Chris Alan’s Tongues is Heroic; Alex’s is Good-Parental. This influences how they use their Gifts while interacting with other people.

Moreover, because Alex has Perspective Without Measure at Need (Ti), he has the peculiar capacity (again like Chris Alan) to affect the framework of space-time around him. In Chris Alan this ability is Deceiving/Comedic: the Trickster, his penultimate defensive weapon, the ability to change the very web of causality of the Metacosmic Realms. In Alex the ability is Leading/Dominating: the Hero, his ultimate offensive weapon short of Light itself. One corollary of having this Gift in this position is that Alex is able to magnify the application of the Gifts of other Lightchildren in his vicinity, while not increasing that of his own Gifts. Thus Susan has increased access to her own Gifts, both Within and Without Measure, in Alex’s presence. Her Gift of Tongues (Ne), which is the hardest of all for her to access, could be brought “out of its archetype” to unexpected levels. On the other hand, her Strength Without Measure could be magnified to a level even beyond what it would normally be at Need: Superheroic, as it were. Only Chris Alan himself would be unaffected by Alex’s influence.

:) Interesting basic concept, but you and I need a tete-a-tete as to how the Nine Gifts of Light relate to this matter. There’s a framework already established “in-canon” and you’re about two revisions behind on it. Bring you up to speed there and Alex and Susan alike will be able to do some REALLY interesting things.
