This is my workout week and a little more.

Did two 45min+ stationary bike workouts at the gym. Did my weekly two mile run during the week, and had an excellent four mile run on Sunday (shaving my average time down to a little over 9 minutes a mile). Was REALLY not motivated to do the long run this week… but I was glad I did when I was done and had done so well. I weighed myself on Saturday morning and was down to 187.5, which means I’ve lost 12.5 lbs in 6 weeks. Two weeks to go until my 8K (5 mile) race during the Philly Marathon… I’m gonna make it!

Ate like a true champion this past week… almost no cheating at all. I took my wife away to a hotel for the weekend for her 40th birthday, however, so I did indulge a little (we split a bottle of champagne, and I had about two small bites of birthday cake… but for dinner I had a “dry” tuna sandwich (no mayo) and only ate half the roll). I was stoked that we went out to brunch and I was able to only eat “healthy” food (I had TWO egg white omelets with ham and shrimp and every veggie they had, plus a small pumpernickel bagel with cream cheese and bacon, a little fresh fruit (cantaloupes and pineapple, my faves), and a V8 juice). No hash browns, no pancakes, no waffles, or french toast, or crepes with whipped cream, or anything else “sweet” (like pastries, donuts, and the like).

I started taking all the new vitamins I bought this morning, and switched from the fat burners I had been taking to a new brand I found at Walmart… they are a Weider product, but are chromium picolinate (sp?) based, with green tea, caffeine, cinnamon, and cayenne. Seem to be working OK, as I feel about the same “buzz” as I was getting from the other ones, but these are WAY cheaper ($6.00 for a 30 day supply, as opposed to the $20 ones I was buying at the Vitamin Shoppe). Also bought a weight bench/sit-up bench this weekend… I’m continuing to get the home gym set up so I can start weight training in two weeks. I hope to get an exercise bike this week…
