My Family and I Planned on going on a vacation one summer. We lived in Germany at the time which made it easy to visit European countries. So the day before we were supposed to fly to Rome our car blew its radiator hose and we were stranded on the side of the Autobahn trying to call AD AC (like AAA), who wouldn’t answer the phone. So I called everyone I knew to see if anyone would pick us up, no one would So after about three hours I was about to give up and start walking home when my little sisters best friends mom called to see how things were going and if we needed her to watch our cat. She helped my mom fix the hose just enough to get us home.

We set on our way to the airport the next morning, our plane was delayed but none of us really seemed to care we were going to Rome for the first time. When we got to Rome we had to ride bus after bus to get to our hotel. That was the most amazing day ever just watching those huge bus’s squeeze between cars and people missing them by inches. We had been riding subways and bus’s for about seven hours before we got on the last bus. But after being on the bus for ten minutes my mom relized that our direction didn’t say what stop to get off it just said the name of our hotel. My mom was getting worried but wouldn’t do anything about it. So I was looking around to see who to ask, I heard two older ladies speaking English and decided to ask them if they knew where the hotel is that we were supposed to stay at. They didn’t but they asked the bus driver and I felt better after they did that but he didn’t know where it was. Then a man gave us directions, but we had to walk three miles just to get there with each of us holding 25- 30 pounds of luggage.

The next day is when we were going to be on our vacation so everything goes smooth, we get on the ship and we relaxed explore the huge ship. It was amazing the food was great the staff was great the couple we sat by was the cutest they were on there honeymoon with hardly any money so we bought them a cake and champagne. It was amazing to see other countries to see how they live and how bad some countries are in poverty. We got attack by venders on the street begging us to buy there merchandise following us down the street if we said no or if they asked for way to much. We ended our cruise after an amazing week, and explored Rome for three days. I couldn’t believe how small the Rome coliseum was, the fountain was small too but it was all just so amazing. My sister and I both thought that the trip was going to be the worst judging by how it started, but it actually turned out really fun and amazing!
