I feel so sorry to write about an air line which has “India” in it’s logo..

Air India is suppose to show the pride of India, but it’s the other way round.

It’s not that Air India is not a good carrier, but still it has some bad points which I had experienced and felt bad of it.

An Air line which is meant to show the pride of India is not that good as India is.

Recently and flight bound to Riyadh caught fire and the reason was that it was not checked properly before it’s take-off.

There was a leakage in it’s fuel tank and it was ignored by all the ground support people. Instead it was noticed by one of the passengers. I would say it was the poor maintenance of the flight. It was supposed to be checked prior to take-off.

I say, Why was it not taken care before hand? Why passengers had to face problems?

The above was a recent event. It’s not only that but the in-flight service is also poor.

This is what I personally experienced during my travel from Berlin to Bombay.

I had my 3 months baby along with me during the travel. The very first problem was that the flight was delayed. I had to wait at the airport with my little angel for long hours.

After that a journey full of irritation started. As I had a baby with me I was told to enter the flight first. It took long time for all the passengers to settle down. After the flight took-off I expected that the fans over head will start as it was very very warm.

But it did not start and on asking to the flight attendant she was very very rude to say that the fans are not in the working conditions.

Second thing was that I had a 3 months baby, so I was supposed to get a baby bassinet, first she said we don’t provide it. On me arguing a lot she provided me one bassinet, but it was not at all in good condition.So I had to carry my kid on me the whole time.

The next was a shower of all the magazines and the news papers stored in the front of my seat. Every half an hour the door of the storage place use to open and all the magazines and the news papers were falling down and at times some on me and my little baby.

It was not all finished one biggest problem was the over head cabins, which were opening from time to time and my companion passengers were also afraid of the baggage’s which might fall very soon.

On calling up the attendant for the problems, she was speaking a very rude way saying she is not supposed to take care of all this things. When I asked for water to one of the attendants she told me that, I should get up and take it my self from the place where they kept it. I had to leave my baby with my fellow companion and go for water.

I know many people might have had good to best experience with the same airlines, but this was my experience. And I think when and airline has a name of country in it’s logo. It’s not just the services and pride and reputation of the airline, but it’s also of the country.

Lets hope in time to come the airline change it’s on ground and in-flight staff or give them some more training to be perfect and good to the passengers.

    Sounds like a nightmare journey. None of those things would inspire confidence.
