Hi there readers,

Here is a day in my, Allison Fermat’s, day 11/3/09. 

I am happy to say that today was a great day.  I woke up WAY too early, guess still an affect from the change in time from a few days ago.  I live in New York so it is now an hour earlier than my body is used to.  Oh, and I haven’t mentioned yet, but I went to the doctor last week and scored a script for a nice sleeping pill, uh, the generic of Ambien.  So far, between Simply Sleep and this new prescription, I have been sleeping!  Oh, I don’t know what to do with this new found energy of mine.  So I used it to work today. 

Did I mention that I am reading a novel that is centered around the Mayan Calendar and the potential end of time that might happen in 2012?  Although the book I am reading, and almost done with (700 pages, whoa!), the book is not that great.  So I am trudging through it so to be able to be finished by November 13th, which I hear is the opening day of a new movie that just so happens to be about the very thing that this book I chose randomly to read is about.  Truth is that I am newly in therapy and my, not so competent, therapist suggested that I get myself to the library and pick a book to start reading (to fill some of my empty time that I do not know what to do with).  Makes sense to me…  So I picked the first, and biggest, book I saw on the new books shelf.  I figured if my brain needs a distraction, this huge book would keep me busy!  Not only have I been reading it, but it has fueled some great conversation between my father and me.  So although the book is not that great, it has served a great purpose on many levels.  I have also found that reading relaxes me, even when at a tense moment in the book.

My girlfriend who I speak with on the phone just about every other day or so, says my stories that I tell her are so funny, I should start my own Seinfeld show.  So I submit to you that going forward, if I have something interesting or funny in my life to talk about, I will make sure to submit so in this article format.  So please stand by…
