Lionel had another birthday and Sarah went to her first symphony.
Today was Lionel’s birthday. His friend in Australia called him last night to wish him a happy birthday and today his children took us out for dinner at Tijuana Joe’s. The two grandchildren were on such good behavior and we had a very enjoyable dinner.

There were nine in our party and the staff pushed tables together on the back wall to get us out of the way, I think. We were quiet noisy but it was the adults not the children. Carol said when we sat down at the table, (”No discussion of politics”) and I said,(”No discussions of religion,”) That worked out very well. All in all it was a happy birthday and Lionel said it was a major event to have finished up another year. We both came home with gift cards and presents.

Last night was a major event for my granddaughter. Her uncle Tommy,(my son) invited her to her first symphony. She was on cloud nine. He brought her flowers and chocolate and they both had a wonderful time. It reminded me of when my uncles showed me special attention. I had two uncles so I was very lucky.
When we returned home we had to work off some of the calories so we went to the workout room. We timed it perfectly. Nobody was there and we both grabbed a treadmill before others began wandering in. We walked our mile and I admit we should do more but there was golf or ball that Lionel wanted to watch at home so here we are.
I did put up another shelf in our laundry room (more like a closet) and I was surprised at how much more storage it afforded. I was able to put all my dish towels, pot holders, and place mats on the shelf. It looks so neat and it opened up more space in the kitchen.
Now here I am on the computer. I must check out my grandsons Myspace to see what mischief they have been up to. One is in Arizona with his wife waiting for the birth of their first baby. Another is in Savannah getting ready to go to Afghanistan and the other is working on his classic mustang. They know grandmother will be looking in.
