As spoken by Mercutio of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.

Diary Entry 1

Today, was a good day, for I had entered no quarrels, although another clash between the Montagues and Capulets. I hope Romeo was not harmed.
Later on i hear that no one was killed in the brawl, and Romeo was not at the fight. So i wonder, where is my best friend? Benvolio, cousion of Romeo Montague passed me on an invitation to a party, the capulet’s party to be exact. I could not deny this wonderful invitation. Benvolio was trying to convince Romeo to come in hope of finding happiness. I looked over Benvolios idea and decided to also try to bring Romeo. A wise man once said “There is always more fish in the sea”. The party went well. The food was exquisite along with the wine. The dancing was the best part, I am such a dancing machine!! AS the hours passed, we left along with Romeo, although he left us and went back to the party, almost as if he forgot something important.

Diary Entry 2

Perhaps what i said to Romeo last night actually got through all the depression and grief in his mind. Yesterday seemed odd.. Romeo rushing back to the Capulet household was not the ordinary event. We found Romeo today, and also found a nurse wishing to speak to Romeo. I mocked  this disgusting wretch as she had a foreign accent, one which I couldnt put my finger on. Benvolio joined in, the nurse taunting us as well. Romeo went with the nurse, coming back some what happier. What was going on. I swear i’ve seen that nurse before, she seemed strangely familiar.

Diary Entry 3

Today, I left my household and met up with both Benvolio and Romeo. They both seemed reasonably happy. The day was perfect…. too perfect. A carriage trudged by, a carriage of with the seal of Capulet. Looks like things are going to get messy.
