A story about one of Andrea’s many adventures on her gap year.
During her first term in her gap year placement Andrea has had some really good fun with the people on her team.
She has had to take part in assemblies and RE lessons as well as planning all these sessions. The highlight of the term so far has been recently when she and her team had to do four assemblies in a High School about Sacrifice and link it into what happened at Easter.
For the assembly Andrea and her team got together their props which included a spare uniform, paper plates, cream, bin bags and wipes.
During the assembly the team asked for a volunteer from the High School to come forward and take part in the Easter Quiz on the stage. The volunteer was then told that if they got three questions wrong then they would get a cream pie in the face and that would be that. The first volunteer got 4 wrong and the following three got three questions wrong! So they had to have a cream pie in their face.
However Andrea didn’t think this was very fair and therefore stuck up for the volunteer and offered to take the cream pie for them. Most of the volunteers had relief on their faces as they didn’t have to have the cream pie in their face. Instead Andrea took the punishment and got her face in cream!!
Although the cream wasn’t very nice and made her feel sick she still loved every minute of the assembly because as a team they worked so well together and had such a good time doing the assembly!
