The hell with everything else. LOL This is meant to be a little humorous as I need humor in my life right now.

Do you ever wonder how a stay at home mom does it all? Well I do. I have children at home and I have children that are grown. I am now a stay at home mom permanently and still don’t seem to know how to schedule everything accordingly to a plan.

I have a plan but, by the time the end of the day comes I still seem to have sooo much stuff to do and so tired that I don’t always want to do it. I follow a schedule and it doesn’t seem to be followed very good. This lasted about a week and then it wasn’t there anymore it seemed after the weekend. haha I think it’s funny that we try to do everything so perfectly and have a perfect little world but, somehow it doesn’t work out the way we want it to.

I say to just live your day out and have fun while we still can and when the day is over, then worry about all the other little things we “need” to do. After all what is it gonna hurt if we let the dishes stay till after dinner or bath, and what are the few little toys going to really hurt being on the floor. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying to let the house go to hell, just focus more on having fun and spending time with your kids and spouse (or partner) and live your life happy. Thats my thought on staying at home.

I seem to have always been a working Mum, despite have two children. Looking back I don’t know how I coped especially as teaching has so much homework attached to it. But I did. You do what you can and leave what you can’t. That’s my rule of life.
    I loved your article.

I’m not a stay at home Mum as such but I do work from my home which works really well (my son’s 13 now). This was a nice read and I agree, having fun is more important than whether or not there are toys on the floor.

Whatever works for you :) Hey, I don’t have children and sometimes I let the dishes pile up :)

3 cheers for stay at home mums I reckon – and I think your advise is spot on. Don’t go mental cleaning up and being perfect all day. Tidy up later in the day. They just go and make a mess again anyway the little rascals!

If only more of us could learn this earlier, we would have less stress and more happiness in out lives.
