I thought blogging was just as simple as it seems, but when I started doing it, I realized otherwise.

Even before I knew the term “blog”, I have read a few of its kinds – and enjoyed it pretty well. I get to relate to the people behind those ideas and get amazed on new informations. I even leave comments on articles that really piqued my interest.

How is blogging done? I want to share my thoughts and interests too, just like what bloggers were doing. I’ve researched and read articles relating to blogs and found out that you can establish your own blog site. You can also apply for a second or third party who would help in publishing your articles. They would even pay you for doing the thing you love – writing. Why not, I thought.

Since I am too busy to maintain a whole blog site for myself, I opted for the other-party-alliance. I signed up for one – Triond; and started blogging. I had no idea what I was doing. My only goal was to share anything about me – my life, my interest, my opinions, etc and earn extra income with it. I thought, this is quite easy. Then came a newsletter from them citing about articles with at least a million pageviews. Whoah! How did the authors do that? Now, my goal shifted from blogging for the sake of it, to a more meaningful one – a challenging one. And besides, I get to generate more money from it – if I can just hit the right spot. I wanted to make it to the Hot Contents list, but had no idea where or how to start.

I started reading and studying how these different bloggers presented their articles (Is that cheating? Uhm, I hope not.). I also read some of the other blogger’s suggestive comments and feedbacks. I even searched for articles about How To’s. The comments and advises sounded so simple, but when I started incorporating these into my works, it’s not really as easy as they have presented it. I haven’t really started out yet, but I felt like quitting. I am really having a difficult time hitting the right spot. Blogging is no easy task.

Blogging requires hardwork and thorough research. It requires facts and it must be presented in a way that would pique users’ interests. Creative thinking and/or writing is really a tough one; that is, if you’re not built with it. I was so naive thinking blogging is simply like an online diary, well, some of it are. I just can’t help but wonder how these articles were able to target its readers – on the spot. It must have been real hard thinking. I mean, if they were able to do it, why can’t I? It’s probably a matter of attitude and proper research. All I have to do is just try and try and be criticized, until I will make it.
