Just another nugget some ideas about a dwarf floating in my head.
The sound of stone chisels, hitting the cold hard stones could be heard echoing through the caves of Mountainous Blue. Rolling and creaking wooden carts carried supplies hall ed by mole mules, wooden torches lit there way through the caves. A cool air ran through the tunnels. Songs were song by the dwarf’s as they worked. The outside world did not even realize they lived or the work and effort these stone masters were doing. Statues of the great dwarfs were built into the walls. Their strange language chiseled into the base and strange symbols covered the decorations on the huge statues. Some paths were mud others were pure stone cut by dwarfs. It was an aw. Gems filled many of the statues the dwarfs found, while mining these huge magnificent tunnels. They built there homes into the mountain along many cave paths as well. Now were caverns opened up it really got exciting because here cities were made and kingdoms evolved. These Dwarfs had all sorts of different clans most made of family names usually each held a trade of some sort. Brown Beard was born in one of the outer caves routes. There dwelling consisted of three rooms in the front and three in the back. What made this little hobble known is it was chiseled out of a gold vain. Each wall was shiny gold, momma dwarf would spend her days with a rag shining the walls and ceiling and floors. Papa Dwarf was a tunnel master and his work would often carry him deeper into the mines. Papa would be gone for days sometimes but mama dwarf never seemed to mind as far as Brown Beard was concerned. Brown Beard had three friends. Ponpin Dwarf, Iron Hand, and Amanda Steel-hammer. They would venture and help in the tunnels making a money for their work. They were known as hard working kind hear ted kinder. They were at the Hammer Hanging Pub a small tavern near the City of Grey Ore. It was a pretty rough city and the four of them never went in city limits for this met trouble. They were in a back corner relaxing for they had been hauling junk rock to the train carts all day and their bones were akeing and in need of the taverns brew to help numb their muscles. Steel hammer noticed a human come through the door. The whole bar went quiet, everyone was now looking at the stranger. He was dressed in all leather with a green cape flowing behind him. Dwarfs wore a rough rawhide leather to protect them from the rocks in the mines and there feet wore covered by the same kind of leather with metal sewn into it so it had a metal shelter. A kick from one of these boots wood easily break ribs, or smash through wood wood ease for their legs were thick and muscular for every baby Dwarf got his own boots. So there legs were strong as oxes. But the human he had soft leather traveling boots and humans were not liked by dwarfs.
