A song I wrote in 2000 while in a band going nowhere.

Take me to the highest heights
Drop me back to rocky Earth
All of Heaven’s sweet delights
Worst of Hell’s torture endured

You have me wholly; I am not my own
Lost and empty without you there
Feel like death; flesh ripped from bone
You’ve caged my spirit, my life laid bare

Keep trusting in you only to be let down
I’m no longer king now you hold the crown
My face gaunt and sullen locked in a frown
Once you bouyed me now watching me drown

For good or ill with or against my will
I’m your’s
It’s MY sickness of this I’m sure
Critically, chronically, terminally; I’m your’s.

Pity that “I’m your’s” did not lead to “You’re mine”. Nice share.
