Observations from a disheartened visitor.

Savannah’s a contrasting city…
beautiful historical buildings and quaint squares
magestic oaks dripping with spanish moss
How can a city preserve so much history and neglect its present condition?
The street corners seem to abound with poverty.
Beautifully preserved architecture on one block and ghettos on the next.
Truly sad…what is more important…people or preservation
Can the two not coexist in a better way?
If only the city could find a way to spend its resources to improve the day to day as nicely as it has maintained its architectural treasures, then truly it would be a great place to live as well as visit.
